More than a billion people are living without clean drinking water on our planet. Some walk miles every day to get to the nearest source: a stagnant, parasite-infested stream or pond. They lug it back to their families. They suffer from diarrheal disease, worms and skin problems because they can't wash. About 30,000 people die each week from water-related diseases. Most are children under five years old!

My mission is to raise $5,000 by 3/30/2012 and 100% of every dollar raised will go directly to this water project. One billion people, one cause. I have ALMOST everything I could ever want in this lifetime...please give to someone that is less fortunate than we are in the new year. For every $20 raised, it gives 1 person clean water for 20 yrs. It's a huge impact that we are making for these people for something that is so readily available to us.

And when the well is completed, Charity: Water will show us GPS coordinates, photos and other details about the community we've helped. Together, we'll be able to see the impact we've made.
