Couple years ago, we raised $822 to help the Hilekhola Community in Nepal. Let's beat that this year!!!

Two years ago, my 29th birthday, with the help from my friends, I was able to help raise $822 to support the Hilekhola Community in Nepal. All the money raised went to the funding of the project.

My 30th birthday was in Portland, Oregon and I had a killer time celebrating it with some of my favorite people. I had almost thirty drinks bought for me, and I'm very thankful.

This year however, I'm not going to be throwing a party and instead I'm going to give my 31st birthday to another Charity:Water campaign and I would request your help.

I'm looking to raise $1,000 this year. Last time I reached for $29*29 = 841. This year, I was thinking $31*31, but that hit $961, and I figured I might as well round up, cause my friends are awesome and we can reach this goal. Instead of getting me a gift or buying me a drink, give it to some kid in Africa instead. They need water balloon fights like we did, too!

We don't think about the impact water has on our life most of the time because we get it without really much thought. There are millions of people out there however that don't have the opportunities we have, and I think we could give a few of our dollars to those who actually need some clean water in place.
