My birthday is almost here. I usually don't ask for anything, but this year I have a special request. If you would like to get me something I would really love for my birthday, please make a donation to this charity. I have done extensive research on them and 100% of your donation will go towards getting lasting drinking water sources to people in areas where it will have maximum impact for your donation. To re-iterate: 100 % of your donation goes to the cause. Admin/overhead is covered entirely by other means.

Lack of adequate drinking water is a horrific and far-reaching problem in these areas. I encourage you to research and educate yourself on this issue and the profound effects of bringing a source of clean drinking water to such a community.

I'm asking for my age in dollars from everyone I know. Every penny of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped.
