goal
In 2016 my friends and I finally recognized that lack of clean water around the globe was a major crisis. More people die from unsafe water than from all forms of violence, including war. 2.3 billion people, or nearly 1 in 3, lack access to a toilet.
There is HOPE: for every $1 invested in safe water and sanitation, a yield of $5 to $28 is returned in increased economic activity and reduced health care costs.
We didn't know what to do so we started Plunge Music Festival, a concert designed to raise money and awareness about the problem. In 2017 we raised $2640 and in 2018 we raised $5140.
This year, Plunge Music Festival is taking a break while we plan for an even bigger show in the future. So we started this fundraising campaign with the help of our friends at charity: water.
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
Please join us and give generously to help end the global water crisis.
