Dear friends,
We are all so blessed! All our basic needs are met. Unfortunately, there are those in developing nations that are not as blessed.
It’s shocking that in reality, nearly 1 billion people live without clean drinking water. The issue is present all over the world, but especially in developing areas of Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia and Latin America.
Water is essential and affects everything- health, poverty, education…
Helen Keller once said, ‘I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything but still I can do something and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do the something that I can do’.
So this year, instead of birthday gifts, I’m kindly asking for birthday donations to be made to charity: water, which is a non-profit organisation that brings clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations.
I would love $23 to celebrate my 23rd birthday, with the final target being $1000, which will provide 50 people with clean and safe drinking water AND make my ultimate birthday wish a reality! 100% of your donations directly fund clean water projects in developing nations.
So let’s be generous and together play our part!
