Hi all,
I don't typically draw attention to my birthday, but this year I've decided to make an exception. Please celebrate with me in this small effort to make the world a better place.
I'd like to get together and have a beer with all of you, but since that isn't possible, I'm going to ask each of you to make a small donation -- perhaps the price of a frosty Miller Lite (or a Spotted Cow if you're feeling generous) or whatever you feel comfortable giving.
Tens of thousands of kids die each year because they don't have access to clean water.
Every penny of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 21 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped.
So let's raise our glasses so that others may raise theirs, filled with clean water.
