My birthday is almost here.
I'm not usually excited about getting older, but this year I'm really THANKFUL to have survived 2012, survived the ordeal in ICU. I'm blessed. As I celebrate another surviving year on my birthday, I bear in mind that others may not be as fortunate. Millions of kids around the world don't live to see their fifth birthday because they don't have access to clean, safe drinking water. We can help change that.

My birthday wish this year is to ensure that more kids get to celebrate and enjoy birthdays beyond their fifth.
Am taking a step forward in walking the talk.
Just like how I've been given another life, I sincerely wish they be given a chance to live as well.

So this year, instead of presents, I'm asking for my age in dollars from everyone I know. Or any amount will do too. Every penny of the money raised will fund water projects around the world (mainly developing nations), and when those projects are complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the impact we made. I can't think of a better birthday gift.
