On December 10th, I'm going to be 2 decades old!
In past years, I've always looked forward to my birthday for the gifts (obviously), but I look at everything I have now and realize I really don't need anything. There are millions of people around the world that have ACTUAL needs that we take for granted.
It's hard to picture since we've been accustomed to living in a country with clean water, and more than enough food. But 800 million people (that's a LOT of people) don't have access to clean drinking water, and many people don't even live to 5 years old. I don't know about you, but I think that's pretty sad. Fortunately, we can do something about it!
I'm asking for $20 from everyone I know, and literally EVERY single penny of the money raised will go directly to fund clean water projects in developing nations. What's really cool though, is that charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll be able to see the communities we've helped!
My goal is to raise $500 by my birthday, which I realize now is kind of ambitious.. but it's possible! You guys just need to help me out! Thanks a lot : )
Happy birthday beautiful (: The ppl in Ethiopia will surely be blessed <3 P.S. - I knew you'd exceed your goal :D
Happy twentieth :) it came on time hehe
Happy Birthday Girlie :)
Spread the love to those who need it most!
