At first, this seemed surreal, even daunting.

But then I found out that millions of people don't live to see their fifth birthdays. And why? Because they don't have access to clean, safe water.

So I'm not scared of turning [AGE] anymore. In fact, I'm celebrating my birthday like never before.

i I know first hand how important clean water is, since I was born and raised in one of the world's poorest countries, Honduras. As a child, clean drinking water was one of my parents top priority. for most of my childhood, the only way to get clean, drinking water was to boil water every morning for the day's drinking supply. Water supplied by the city I lived in was only available for 4 to 6 hours of the day and highly contaminated. Join me as we seek to build a well for a community in need of clean drinking water.

I'm asking for $[AGE OR OTHER GOAL AMOUNT] from everyone I know -- and every penny of the money raised will go directly to fund clean water projects in developing nations. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll be able to see the communities we've helped!
