Journey Church exists to awaken the movement that Jesus began: to see people far from God filled with life in Christ, to love unconditionally, and to serve tirelessly.

How does charity: water fit into our vision?

“For there is hope for a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that its shoots will not cease. Though its roots grow old in the earth and its stump die in the soil, yet at the scent of water it will bud and put out branches like a young plant.” – Job 14:7-9

Isn’t the imagery beautiful? The picture it creates is one of a tree literally coming back to life at the mere presence of water. Just as water renews and restores, Jesus came to renew us and restore us into a right standing with God. At Journey Church, we see lives changed week after week; we see the proof that Jesus came so that we would “have life and have it abundantly” (John 10:10).

We can’t think of a better physical representation of the newness of life in Christ than the newness of clean water for villages of people who have lived without it. Water changes everything!
