We got engaged and started planning a wedding.
Then we learned that people in America spend more than $100 billion on weddings each year. At the same time, about 800 million people in developing countries still don't have clean drinking water.
So we decided to celebrate our love by also helping to give clean, safe drinking water to people in need. We also thought it was fitting since charity: water also has projects in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where Jonathan and I will begin our married life together.
Just $20 can change someone's life there, and 100% of the money raised will directly fund charity: water projects in the field. When those projects are complete, we'll all get photos and GPS coordinates to see the lives we changed together. Please celebrate our marriage by making a donation.
