I've learned a lot in 29 years.

I've learned that there isn't anything more important than water. Water is life. Water changes everything. Clean water leads to health, the opportunity for a better future, access to education, and stronger communities. And, that I have the best friends in the world. You've always come through for me.

This year, I'm turning 30 and I want to celebrate in a big way. I'm asking for $30 or more from everyone I know. It's not going to me, though. All of it is going to build freshwater wells for the Bayaka pygmies of Central African Republic.

My goal is to raise $5,000 which is enough to provide 250 people with clean drinking water. That's 50 families. An entire community will have access to clean water.

I'm so inspired by Scott Harrison, Charity: Water's founder, and strongly believe in his work and mission. In four short years, he's made 616 water projects a reality.
