Dear friends,
A billion people in the world are living without clean water - but how much are they really living? Millions contract deadly diseases from contaminated water. 45,000 people will die this week alone. The lucky ones won't, but still walk hours each day to get dirty water to give to their families.
I'm turning 26 [yes, I'm getting old]. That's 26 years of clean drinking water. I would love for us to provide someone else 26 years of clean drinking water.
I know economic times are tough, but let's live out of abundance rather than scarcity. Let's face it - as Americans we are never really scarce of resources.
So let's make this happen! Thanks so much for your gifts!
Love,
kathy
Note: Because of charity: water's unique model, 100% of all donations go directly to direct water projects costs, and each donation is "proved" and tracked to the village it helped when projects are complete.
In honor of my dear friend, Morgan - thank you for always being older than me. I love you, doll.
I'm sorry I can't give you 26 for your 26th bday, but my donation is to remind you a) of your 10th birthday! Wasn't it fun?! I'm sure it was! and b) that in 10 years we'll be THIRTY SIX. Womp, womp. Happy birthday! Keep saving the world!
