goal
There are 748 million people in the world living without access to clean water. Let's change that!
My 50th birthday is almost here. This year I'm really thankful to have lived another happy, healthy year. I recently learned that millions of kids around the world don't live to see even their FIFTH birthday because they don't have access to clean, safe drinking water. We can help change that.
Instead of having a party or accepting gifts, I'm asking everyone I know to donate $50 (or whatever you can afford) in honor of my 50th birthday.
The overhead for Charity:Water is taken care of by private donors, so every penny of the my birthday celebration money will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries.
Even better, Charity:Water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 21 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped.
My goal is 50 people donating an average of $50, for a total of $2500. Help me reach my goal. Please donate to my birthday campaign!
I love this idea and your commitment. Happy to support this cause.
Happy 50th!
Christmas present!
Wish we could give more.
