In the US, we fret about whether we can pay for elaborate birthday parties for our kids. Then I found out that millions of people don't even live to see their 5th birthday. Surprisingly, 4,500 children die every day because they didn't have access to clean, safe water.

So, I thought I'd make this a really good birthday and donate my birthday to charity. I have so much, whereas others have so little. Just $5000 -- the goal of this campaign -- could dig a well that would bring clean water to 250 people.
