Every day, 1,400 kids under the age of 5 die from water-related illnesses. Let's help change that!

My 27th birthday is in 12 days. TWELVE. DAYS. "But Kelly, you don't look a day over 20!" I know, I know. "What's your secret?!" Great genes (thanks mom and dad) and, among other things, hydration and access to clean water.

Not to make light of the situation, but there are millions of people around the world who do not have clean water to bathe in or wash with, let alone to drink—something which we all know is essential to human life. Not to mention the fact that most of the water they DO have access to is contaminated. Try imagining not being able to drink water when you're thirsty that doesn't make you sick or kill you.

For my birthday this year, instead of sending a card or a gift or even wishing me a happy birthday, I'm hoping that 50 of you beautiful, generous, and compassionate people will donate $27 apiece to help charity:water provide people MUCH less fortunate than any of us with clean drinking water. Let's make a difference in these next twelve days.
