So the world has survived three decades with me in it and that calls for a celebration! This year I want to celebrate generosity. Your generosity. Because few things make us more happy and content, and because few things and more dearly needed in a world that is still heartbreakingly unfair. I won’t drone on about how it must feel to not have access to clean water, because I’m lucky enough not to know. 771 million people do know. Here’s to making a dent in that ridiculous number. Because even a dent, however small, represents entire lives, whole, actual people. The past few years I’ve been giving regularly to charity: water, a charity I really believe in. I want to invite you to join in and make a dent in the water crisis, together.
