Growing up, school never came easy to me. However, I was fortunate to live in a world full of opportunity and support. I put in effort and improved with the aid I received from my schools and community. I relied on that help to do well in school, and my love for learning grew from there. Now, as a high school junior, I feel empowered and strong seeing myself become smarter, and I believe it is a feeling everyone deserves. So, it broke my heart to find out how hard it was for women in some countries to access even the most basic education, let alone have the time to get academic support.

For them, life revolves around different priorities. Their lives are consumed by mandatory tasks like collecting water in distant areas. Women and girls in developing nations trek miles to find water, carrying 40-pound cans of water on their heads each day.

With their lives dominated by long journeys for water, these women have no opportunity to pursue education. Instead, they endure difficult walks, harsh conditions, and scorching heat, all to access contaminated and disease-filled water.

This is why I'm initiating this fundraiser. I am hosting this concert to raise money to build a well in a small African community that needs it. Partnering with Charity:Water, I will be able to contribute to providing clean water to families, offering these women a brighter future.
