Why Kilimanjaro Social Climbers is fundraising for clean water

Many of us have no idea what it's like to not have easy access to clean, safe drinking water. We always have plenty of water available to us at the turn of a tap!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, 5,000 kids die from water-related illnesses before they reach their fifth birthday. It doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like wells, rainwater catchment, piped water systems and spring protection that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

On October 13, we are climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro -- we want to use this trip to raise awareness and money for clean water projects.

Water is a powerful thing. If we reach our goal, an entire community will be newly able to access clean water. As a result, health will improve, more girls will go to school and women will have more economic opportunities.

Please donate to our campaign -- anything you can give is a huge help. And everyone who donates will get a special shout-out from the roof-top of Africa!

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
