Me and my sons are "The Doula and her Duo" part of our extended family A Drop in the Bucket team campaign to raise $10,000 to provide 333 people with fresh water. We are having a small competition between our parents and all five children and partners. 12 adults and 6 little boys working hard to fund a full water project! My personal goal is to raise $1,000 of our $10K campaign.

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean! Here in Northern Michigan we are literally surrounded by fresh, clean bodies of water, it's unfathomable to imagine not having safe water to drink.

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped. ❤️

I am a doula, I have dedicated my life to serving women and their families through their birth and parenting journey, during our most vulnerable times of existence the greatest need for health and comfort is water. Water is life.

My duo, are my sons, Hayden will be 7 next week and Britton turned five yesterday, raising to young men, it is both my honor and my responsibility to teach them that we the people, have the ability to change the world. Even in the times where we feel the most powerless, when we stand up and act, we can make a difference. THIS is something we can all do. THIS is something my children can understand and participate in. THIS is our opportunity to do a very small thing that makes the biggest difference. A drop in the bucket.
