Since I was young birthdays were about accumulation. I want this, I could use this, I would love that. I have been surprised, jolted, disappointed, and moved. While I am glad now to look back and see that people loved me enough to give... it was always about me.
It's time for change. Time to give up what some would say I deserve, to give to those who have never been given anything. In the process, we will give joy, water, LIFE!
We will chip away @ our "rich young ruler" society and give like the widow in the temple, and give up what we have for God's work!
Remeber: when we honor the "least of these" we honor Christ himself.
