It is better to give than to receive. We have been taught this over and over again, especially around the holidays.
For the past couple of years, we have had toy drives to give children from less fortunate families something to open Christmas morning. We are so thankful to all of our friends who donated toys and helped make little kids in our area smile when they received all of our generous gifts. We are so grateful to have people in our lives that believe that it is better to give than to receive.
What if this Christmas we could give something bigger?
What if this Christmas we decide to give something more than gifts that fit in boxes?
What if we gave the gift of life?
More than 1 BILLION people are living without water on our planet. Some walk miles every day to get to the nearest source: a stagnant, parasite-infested stream or pond. They lug it back to their families. They suffer from diarrhea, worms and skin diseases because they can't wash themselves. 45,000 people die each day from waterborne illnesses.
Our mission is to raise $1,000 by Christmas this year. 100% of every penny we raise will go directly to the water projects. And every project is "proved" using GPS technology and photos and put on Google Earth. Together, we'll be able to see the impact we've made.
One billion people, one cause. The least we can do is give one Christmas.
Imagine if all of the people in the photo above gave $20. . . We could easily surpass our goal of $1000! Please join us and give generously. This year give the gift of life!
