HI everybody!

I'm Lauren and I am turning 16 this year!

Most young girls throw a huge Sweet Sixteen party to have fun dancing, eating, and hanging out with their friends. But I have decided that I want to donate my 16th birthday to charity:water in order to give CLEAN water to those less fortunate than us.......

Water...it's as simple as that....something we take for granted so often....at least I do.

1. A half empty water bottle from 2 days ago = ewwww throw that out!

2. Brushing my teeth while the water is still running = it can't be wasting that much water...can it?

3. taking loooooonnnngggg relaxing showers = no big deal!

but in other parts of the world people drink and use dirty brown contaminated water..all of the time

we fortunately are able to filter our water with brita filters or by drinking bottled waters ....but in remote parts of the world there are no such thing as water filters or packaged water bottles (which seem to be available everywhere here)

So I ask you to please donate to my charity:water fundraiser for my 16th birthday to help others be able to drink and bathe in clean water.....

Think about it.....would you want to give your newborn baby a bottle filled with brown water?? The bacteria and deadly viruses in the water may harm them more then them becoming dehydrated......

It may not be something you have ever even thought about before because everyone always suspects that there is clean water ALL over the world.....but that is not the case...

So please donate :)

Not only are you helping me to celebrate my birthday with people from around the world who will be recieving water from your donations, but you will also be helping those people in those remote places of the world celebrate more birthdays as well.......after all, drinking contaminated water can kill people, but by providing them with CLEAN water, their lives can be saved!
