On October 7, 2012, I ran my FIRST EVER half marathon - The Valley Harvest, in Nova Scotia Canada.
That's 21 kilometres of sweating, pushing, giving everything I've got.
Sounds tough, right? Well, imagine doing all of that without clean water.
Every week, millions of women and their children walk more than 23 kilometres just to get water for their families. And most of the time the water they get is contaminated and the cause deadly diarrheal diseases.
My mission is to raise $2,100.00 for water. I want every step to matter.
Running races can be tough. But would be unthinkable without clean water. To drink. To wash my food with. To shower with. To hydrate. I have so much and I want to give something back.
