Most of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

Unfortunately, many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. It doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections, and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

Charity: water has built these types of projects in 28 countries and has helped over 15 million individuals to access safe and clean drinking water. The goal of the Simon's Stocking campaign is to fund the construction of a new well that will help a community of 250 people in need of clean water access. For that, we need to raise ten thousand dollars. We plan to meet this goal by Christmas Day of 2023.

This campaign is being conducted in loving memory of my husband, Simon Maloy, who passed away from colon cancer four years ago, at age 37. He was a devoted husband and a wonderful father to our two young sons. Every Christmas since his passing, I have filled Simon's Christmas stocking with a gift for others in need. We keep Simon's memory close as we give what we can to our community. This year we have decided to make a lasting impact by fundraising to give the gift of clean and sanitary drinking water to a community in need.

Charity: water's operating costs are paid by private donations. 100 percent of your contributions will be used to build our clean water project and when it is complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
