James B. Argersinger Jr.
February 8, 1956 - April 7, 2013

Jim blessed this earth for 57 years with his charismatic nature and his kind-hearted spirit. Honor this man by helping us raise $5700 to build a well in his name and play a small part in solving the water crisis.
Jim felt very strong about life's most basic need—water. He believed in getting back to basics, and he understood how paying it forward impacts so many more lives than we will ever know.
Throughout his battle with cancer he maintained an unwavering optimism and a sense of humor. Shortly after receiving his disabled parking placard he coined the phrase, "Cancer sucks, but the parking is great!"
When we donated to a friend's charity water birthday fund and learned of the struggles children and entire villages were enduring, he was so touched by the stories that it actually eased his pain and put into perspective what he had in comparison. We had invested in a filter system to use instead of our "clean" tap water, and yet there were children walking for hours, up and down mountains, just to collect water that not only kept them from going to school but also made them sick.
100% of everything we raise will directly fund Jim's Memorial Well. And when the project is finished, charity: water will send us proof in pictures and GPS coordinates, so we can see the actual people and communities we impacted. And God willing, someday we will visit the Jim Argersinger Memorial Well and celebrate his life and the gift of water.
