Why Maggie Campbell is fundraising for clean water

Hello everyone!

Once again, my youth group and I are raising money to raise awareness about our neighbors who don't have the same opportunities we do.

This year is a bit different for me though. This year is my last year. I am a senior in high school so this year is filled with a lot of last. This last is one of the more difficult ones as I have enjoyed this event immensely. I have taken part in the 30 Hour Fast since I was 12. Five years later, I still believe in the cause I am fundraising with my youth group for.

For those of you that have supported my campaign in the past, thank you. I hope you will support me this year as well. For those for whom this will be your first time supporting my campaign, thank you for any amount you choose to give. Please help me make this year a big one.

The mission statement:

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

Every year, the youth of Trinity Presbyterian do a sponsored fast for 30 hours. This year, they decided to start this fundraising campaign to help Charity:Water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me.

Please donate to our campaign -- anything you can give is a huge help.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, Charity:Water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
