Why Malia Losordo is fundraising for clean water

In August, I'll be moving to Oregon and starting a JD/MS program in Environmental Law and Water Resources Science so that I can commit my life to the sustainable managment of our precious freshwater resources. My dream is to spend my life working to ensure that generations to come will be able to enjoy clean water and a happy, healthy environment.

And so this year, my birthday wish (I know you're not supposed to tell but I'm hoping the birthday-wish-granting powers that be will make an exception) is to help give the gift of clean and safe drinking water to some of the billions of people in today's generation who are living without it.
