Hi, I'm Mariah Thimm

I AM CONTINUING MY CHARITY: WATER CAMPAIGN FOR ANOTHER 3 MONTHS. THE FIRST CAMPAIGN RAISED $1,717.50.

WATER: It's a basic human need = and more than a billion people on the planet don't have access to it.

However, many of us take it for granted. We go to the faucet and turn on the water for a quick drink, thinking nothing of it. When we are thirsty all we have to do is find a sink, waterfountain, or vending machine. All over the world though this is not a reality. Millions of people (usually women and children) spend hours of their day walking miles to find the nearest water source, which is often contaminated and likely to make them sick. This does not allow them to get an education or support their families.

I'm on a mission to change this. I'm asking you and anyone you know to donate so we can fund water wells in developing countries. 100% of every dollar we raise goes to water projects, and when projects are complete, all are "proved" using GPS technology and photos and posted on Google Earth. My goal is to raise $5,000 in all. In my first campaign I raised $1,717.50. Through this campaign I hope to raise the $3,283 left to reach my $5,000 goal.
With your support we can help provide clean water, which is essential for health, and the chance for others to get an education, work and support their families, or take care of their families.

I chose Charity: Water because of how great a necessity water is for many people. We take it for granted, when they do all they can to find water that is often not clean and safe. So far I have raised money through donations, yard work, cleaning, and cookie baking. I will be continuing this project until spring.
