Hi, Everyone,
As most of you know it’s my birthday the end of this month. Instead of going out and celebrating, I’ve decided to give up my birthday for charity: water. Founded by Scott Harrison five years ago, charity: water strives to solve the water crisis. At this moment, there are 1 billion people living without access to clean, safe water. About 3.5 million people die each year from water related diseases; and children are especially vulnerable as their underdeveloped immune systems are unable to fight diarrhea, dysentery and other water-borne illnesses. Ninety percent of the 30,000 deaths that occur every week from unsafe water are of children under five years old. Many of these diseases are preventable just by having access to clean water and sanitation. So, in an effort to help this cause, I’ve asked my friends and family to donate to my charity: water birthday campaign.
