I have 8 children. I can't imagine my children having to walk for miles and miles to get 5 gallons of water. 5 gallons of filthy, disease and parasite ridden water.
As I evaluate what is important in my life, I realize that so much of what is important, I take for granted. It is by God's Grace and Mercy that I was born here in the US, with clean water and health care and all the other blessings that come from being a US citizen.
It is time I stop being selfish and stop thinking about what I want for my birthday - and trust me there are MANY MANY things I WANT. I don't NEED any of the things on my list as badly as these children need clean water.
I hope you will join me in supporting the well-building with Charity:Water. Bringing a small blessing to these children can't ever outweigh the large blessings that I already have.
