Birthday water > beer! Chip in to to help bring clean water to some of the 748 mill. people on this earth without!

Hiya guys,

My 26th is just around the corner, and I've gotten in to the habit of celebrating Hobbit-style and giving back! I don't usually ask for presents, but I do love me a nice, cold beer. So, instead of sharing a celebratory birthday brew or two with me, donate the $5 a beer would cost you towards this charity : water campaign!

Did you know that almost a billion people on the planet don't have access to clean drinking water? Every day, 1400 kids die from water-related illnesses before they reach their fifth birthday. But it doesn't have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world. This little paragraph barely touches on the impact that clean drinking water can have, so please explore around the charity : water site and see what else comes from a basic necessity that we're lucky enough to turn on a tap for.

Every penny of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed. That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped - how cool is that?!

So are you ready for round two!? Last year we raised over $1000 that was sent to build new wells and rehab old ones in Ethiopia + Malawi. Let's do this!!
