My name is Matteo and I want people to have very clean water because it changes their lives and saves their lives. Without clean water people are not able to stay well and get sick. Young children like me and my brother Dante are the ones who are at the most risk because children who don’t have as much stuff or water can die. Children have to walk for many hours everyday and don’t get to go to school. They have to drink dirty water because they can’t find clean water and then they get sick. Please give up your birthdays to raise money for charity water and please instead of giving me my birthday gift just donate to this charity or bring me money and I will donate it to this charity for you.

We are so very proud of our almost 6 year old. He has been inspired by a teacher at his school, who is raising money for this charity, and despite many opportunities to change his mind he is 100% committed to this cause. We have collection boxes in our house for coins, he even wants to not have a clown at his party so the money can go to this charity. Just some extra info on this cause:

On January 3 our gorgeous son will be turning 6. Millions of people don't live to see their 5th birthday because they didn't have access to clean, safe water. A billion people in the world are living without clean water. Millions contract deadly diseases from contaminated water. 45,000 people will die this week alone. The lucky ones won't, but still walk hours each day to get dirty water to give to their families. Dirty water kills more people in the world each year than all types of violence combined, including war.

We are asking for everyone we know to help Matteo give clean and safe drinking water to some of the billion living without it. 100% of the money raised will go directly to fund freshwater wells in developing nations. Even better, every dollar is "proved" when the projects are complete, and photos and GPS coordinates are posted using Google Earth.
