You all know that I love my birthday...adore it really. I look forward to it every year as an excuse to do something different; to celebrate life. This year I'm celebrating my birthday a little differently. I don't want presents or drinks. I want clean water.
Women and children around the world walk hours every day to collect water for their families. And the worst part? The water they collect can make them really sick. Terrible right? Well, we can actually do something about it. Just $20 can give a person clean water to drink. But we can do more than that!
If you were going to buy me a present or take me out to celebrate, then do this instead! Even if you haven't given one thought about my birthday, or you have thought about it and decided not to do anything at all whatsoever, then still do this instead!
All of the money we raise will directly fund water projects around the world, and when those projects are complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the impact we made. I can't think of a better birthday gift.
Please donate to my campaign, and make this the best birthday ever! Thank you!
better late than....! Brilliant cause. It's the reason I wanted to do the job I do. Well done Megan!
