Hi, our names are Ali Merkl and Eliza Levy and we are seniors at Tamalpais High School.
You wanna talk about crazy?
663 million people on this planet don’t have access to clean water. That’s 1 in 11 of us!
That means 1 out of 11 people in our world is drinking water that comes from a river, lake or muddy hole in the ground every day. Dirty, contaminated water that has leeches and debris in it. Water that causes disease, keeps kids out of school and takes hours to bring back home.
What’s NOT crazy is doing something to help. We want everyone in the world to have clean water, a luxury we take for granted everyday.
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects for people in need, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
We appreciate any and all donations, no matter the amount. Every single dollar helps make a difference.
