It's something to be able to acknowledge that there's nothing we really NEED for Christmas. It's something else to realize that there is something that others DO need.
The average American consumes at least 50 gallons of clean water every day without even thinking about it.
More than a billion people are living without water on our planet. Some walk miles every day to get to the nearest source: a stagnant, parasite-infested stream or pond. Children's educations are interrupted because they are needed to carry this filthy water to their homes. They suffer from diseases because they can't wash themselves. And 45,000 people die each day from waterborne illnesses.
By helping me reach my goal of $1000 by December 31st, you will be giving 50 people one of life's most basic necessities. 100% of every penny goes directly to the water projects.
