This year I'm celebrating my birthday differently.
I found my charitywater.org and I could not think of a better way to celebrate my birthday. Instead of buying me a gift or a drink, I want this instead.

Anyone can donate, that is why I am posting it on these social media platforms because I know that it can even reach a person that I haven't spoken to in forever. This is not about me. It is about the lack of necessities such as clean water.

If you are a family and or good friend of mine I would really appreciate if you could donate instead of buying me a birthday gift. Use my birthday as an excuse for you to help out. I am asking for $10 donations although you can donate less. Or $23, $1 for every year I have lived.

Women and children around the world walk hours every day to collect water for their families. And the worst part? The water they collect can make them really sick. Well, we can actually do something about it.

The best part is that 100% of the money we raise will directly fund water projects around the world, and when those projects are complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the impact we made. I can't think of a better birthday gift.
