In November, my 55 freshmen students and some generous friends did something amazing: they raised $1590 dollars for a water system in the Rulindo district of Rwanda.
Now, they are shifting their focus to Tigray, Ethiopia, where the fight against the water crisis is one final push away from being solved.
In honor of their hard work, I am offering to humiliate myself by dressing as an elf on the last day of school before Christmas break. IF our campaign goal of $1000 is reached, I will gladly elf it up.
The reason my students and I choose Charity: Water is because 100% of our fundraised money goes to clean water (admin & fundraising costs at C: W are privately funded), and because C: W proves every dollar within 18 months of funding.
In short, this is a cause worth giving to during this holiday season.
Thank you so much for joining my students on their quest to not just learn world history, but to make it.
