Still. Sparkling. Tap.
Water is something I take for granted. It is clean, convenient and costs nothing. I don't even bother to carry a water bottle when I run because I know I can always take a detour if I get especially thirsty.
Many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, 5,000 children die from water-related illnesses before they reach their fifth birthday. Almost a billion people on the planet don't have access to clean water. It doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
I'm running the AllState New York 13.1 Marathon on Saturday, March 23rd, 2013. Sponsor me by Friday and help charity: water raise the funds it needs to build these types of projects around the world.
100% of your donation will be used to build clean water projects and, when they’re complete, charity: water will share photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped. It is tax deductible and you don't even have to pull out your credit card.
Thank you!
Natasha
Good luck with the race!
