On March 9, 2010, I'm turning 25 (a quarter of a century).

At first, this seemed surreal, even daunting.

It scared me at first to think that I have already lived a quarter of my life, and I began to think about things like my purpose, and passions. Most of you probably do not know my passion for people, nor do you know the things closest to my heart. I couldn't think of a more special time than my 25th birthday to share these things with you. I love life, and realize that I am very lucky to be 25, however millions of people don't live to see their 5th birthday. And why? Because they didn't have access to clean, safe water. I think about all the things I take for granted in life and wonder why I've never tried to help those less fortunate before. I believe in human rights, and that everyone should be enabled to have a clean, healthy life. I cannot imagine having to drink mud!

So I'm not scared of turning a quarter of a century old anymore. In fact, I'm celebrating my birthday (and each new day of life!) like never before.

I'm asking for $25 (my age) from everyone I know - and every penny of the money raised will go directly to fund freshwater wells in developing nations. Even better, every dollar is "proved" when the projects are complete, and photos and GPS coordinates are posted using Google Earth.

My goal is to raise $2500 by the end of my campaign, May 25, 2010.
