What can students at NYU accomplish?

Well, let us tell you about one NYU alum, Scott Harrison. Three years ago, starting with his birthday party, he set out to found charity: water and since then, he has successfully raised over $10,000,000.

So join us and other universities across the nation in supporting this campaign. Hey, as students of his alma mater, let's take it upon ourselves to make NYU stand out - we can all help by planning events, spreading the word, donating extra change, and together we can bring change to millions of lives!

Most of us have no idea what its like to be thirsty.

But imagine if you had no clean water.

Imagine parents, young children, and even yourself sweating and straining to haul contaminated water back to your families. Imagine suffering from dehydration and watching people die from easily preventable disease, like diarrhea. 80% of all diseases in the world are caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation! 4,500 children will die today from water-related illnesses.

So this is our goal:

Before winter break, we want to raise at least $15,000 to bring clean, safe drinking water to those who don't have access to it.

Together, we've have an incredible opportunity to provide clean water for those in need. And the great thing about donating to charity: water is that 100% of donations go directly to the water projects, and we'll get to see exactly what projects our dollars funded through Google Earth.

After learning more about charity: water, we know we can make a dent in the global water crisis. We're looking to the NYU community for anyone that can help us.
