On Oct 21, I'm turning 42 - I'm practically an old geezer. So this year, I don't want presents or drinks (ahem) - far too old for that. What I'd like instead is clean water.
Women and children in Rwanda walk for hours every day, up and down mountains, just to collect water from rivers. And the worst part? The water they collect can make them really sick.
Terrible right? Well, we can actually do something about it. Just $65 can give someone in Rwanda clean water.
So I'm asking everyone for my age in donations - however, given my massive age I'm even a little embarrassed about asking for that! Seriously, $10 or $20 is fine, not everyone is flushed right now...
The best part is that 100% of the money we raise will directly fund water projects in the Rwanda, and when those projects are complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the impact we made. I can't think of a better birthday gift. Join me!
Happy, inspiring birthday !
happy birthday old man!
