Water is so abundant that I take it for granted. When I brush my teeth, when I drink my coffee, when I wash my hands. When I fill the hot tub or play in a slip and slide with my kids. I've never not had it. I've never not turned on a tap for hot or cold. I've never really known what it feels like to be thirsty--to actually need water and have none.

And so when I think about moms like me all across the world, who are thirsty--and worse, who cannot quench the thirst of their children--my heart breaks. And I know that it doesn't take much from any one person to make a difference. It takes a little from every one of us. So if you take water for granted, you are one who can make a difference.
