I don't turn off the tap when I brush my teeth.
I take 15 minutes in the shower.
I drink the water out straight from the tap.
As a Canadian, I have always taken clean water for granted. I want to change that starting today.
Now that I'm entering a new chapter in my life, I want to be more proactive and make a change to be a better role model as an educator. I want to not merely make a change in my students' life. I want to make a change that is more immediate and not restricted inside of Ontario. That is why I have decided to give up my 23rd birthday on September 15th to raise money for a watering drill, which will eventually provide thousands of women and children with fresh clean water. In conjunction to my birthday, I will be donating my hair to Pantene Beautiful Lengths Campaign and help cancer patients through the Canadian Cancer Society.
I also encourage you to watch the video and learn more about charity:water, start your own campaign and make a change in yourself to help others.
You are welcome to donate $23 for my 23rd birthday OR $10 for the 10 inches of hair that I will be giving up on my birthday. Of course you are always welcome to donate more or less. My goal is to raise $2300, please help me reach that!
My campaign will be close on the 30th of September and also when I will cut my hair.
Thank you everyone for your love and support!
