goal
After reading about Austin Gutwein, the 9yr old boy that created Hoops for Hope back in 2004. Who shot 2,057 free throws on World Aids Day to raise money for the average number of children that are orphaned each day by the Aids pandemic (one shot for each child). Who has now, with the help of hundreds of other kids around the world doing the same thing, raised almost $1,000,000.00! I thought, I wonder if my cycling could be a way to raise awareness and money to build wells for people in Central Africa that don't have access to clean water. So since I just recently purchased a new cycling computer to calculate my distance each ride, I've decided to donate something for each mile I ride. And to see if I might get others to donate as well, or maybe even start their own campaigns..We'll see! I'm putting in a dollar for each mile myself, in case you'd like to see how many I've done. Thanks for checking out my page! -Peter
