Why Peter Deltchev is fundraising for clean water

$30 will buy a dinner for two in #YVR. $30 will also bring clean water to someone who doesn't have it. For life.

My life as a teenager may be over, but my life as a working adult is just beginning. It's easy to complain about Vancouver's economy and housing costs, but at least the food and water is fit for human consumption, which means I live long enough - and have enough time in my life - to carve out my future.

It's so easy to take that for granted. Every day, 1400 kids die before they turn five because they lack a decent water supply. As little as $30 can fix that for a very real someone. Forever.

Or it could buy a dinner for two in Vancouver. It's not a life-changing amount of money around here, but it'll go a *long* way in a developing community.

charity:water's sponsors cover their operations so 100% of our money, as donors, goes toward the water projects. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 21 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped.

Help me reach my goal. Please donate to my birthday campaign!
