March Madness means Water Madness! Every time one of your bracket teams win kick in a dollar towards clean water.

This is the time of the year when everyone picks their brackets, may or may not wager on some of the games, and strangely enjoys the ability to get wrapped up in a game you would never normally care about. (I'm looking at you Hampton vs. Manhattan.)

Let's turn March Madness into Water Madness. Every time you pick a winner in your bracket let's kick in a dollar to building wells for those in need. I'm starting this late, but I've picked 26 winners. Not a very good showing, but that does mean $26 towards bringing clean water to those in need. So my $26 is the first 26. Hopefully, my bracket will finish strong and I'll give more.

Why a $1600 goal? Unfortunately, I'm starting this late. It's the Sunday when the sweet 16 will be determined. I was convinced my LSU Tigers would make it to this point, but alas they didn't. I know you're devastated just like I am. It's ok. Let's redirect that low feeling with the great feeling of knowing you're bringing clean water to communities that need it. I think we can hit $1600 in the last couple of weeks of the tournament.

Every day, 1,400 kids die from water-related illnesses before they reach their fifth birthday. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
