Hey Everyone!
Instead of planning for my "25th Birthday Drinks", I have chosen to pledge my birthday and start this simple but lovely fundraising campaign...
Water is a basic need in life. We're fortunate beyond measure to have easy access to safe water and sanitation - for drinking, for domestic purposes, for agricultural irrigation, and for use in industrial production processes.
However, some people have to struggle every single day to obtain what we have available to us at the turn of a bottle lid or tap.
Think about it.. Not only does walking miles for water keep children out of school or take up time that parents could be using to earn money, but the water retrieved can often carry diseases that make people sick.
Guess what? It doesn't have to be this way when there are solutions like wells and rainwater catchments, or water purification systems and bio-sand filters that could be set up for numerous communities around the world!
I'm supporting charity: water because they use 100% of the money that is fund-raised to build clean water projects. The overall total of these donations will also be matched which is fantastic - Can you help? :)
Thank you for your time and generosity.
Love always - Poonam x
