There are 748 million people in the world living without access to clean water. Let's change that!
Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!
But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. In developing countries, women and children walk for hours, up and down mountains, just to collect water that can make them really sick. Every day, 1,400 kids die from water-related illnesses before they reach their fifth birthday. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand Filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
We started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and we are looking for anyone who can help us.
Please donate to our campaign -- anything you can give is a huge help.
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
We will be raising money online through this website, and also at school through a cash drive. We are looking forward to seeing which class will raise the most money! In addition, we will be selling "Clean water for all!" bracelets that will not only help us raise money, but also spread awareness. We will have a bake sale at school to raise additional funds as well. Please support us in any way you can, and help turn having clean water from a dream into reality for people around the world!
We sold 21 bracelets at the Bake Sale! Also, we had $21.15 in change in our lobby jar.
