There are 800 million people in the world living without access to clean water. Let's make a difference together!

Wow... Lucky me to be able to enjoy another great year. Often times, while I am sitting at my desk at my comfy job, under heaps of stress and admonishment, I read an article in the world news section that reminds me that - "Life Ain't So Bad".

Following world news is one of my favorite things to do. I've been blessed with the opportunity to travel both near and far, and through my experiences in China, Mexico, and Eastern Europe, have become familiar with the fundamental struggles of many of our friends and family abroad. Whether it be the battle for peace and the abolition of drug cartels, or the search for personal autonomy and basic human rights. Their fight is real, and their dreams practicable. I know, because we live it, right here, every day.

Through all of my experiences, good and bad (most good), I have never experienced the type of epidemic which many African Nations deal with today. As we all know, water is a fundamental necessity to life. In many parts of the world, children and women walk an average of 4 miles to freshwater sources everyday. Everyday...

Well... It's my birthday now, and more than anything I wan't to help my friends and family abroad so one more kid can go to school instead of spending the day walking to get water. Recently, I lost my favorite jacket, and I was planning on quickly grabbing another at the February Patagonia sale (shout-out to Patagonia and their ever-increasing philanthropy). But, instead.. I'm going to put that towards the mission at Charity Water (sorry Patagonia)... I'm asking my friends to help too...

Instead of presents, cards, etc... please just give to the campaign to make a difference.

EVERY PENNY of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded.

$1200 will bring 60 people clean water.
